Glad you like ch'mma. Thank you Nish and Umashankar. Very happy that you all like. By the way, this is a small street in a small South France town called Albi.

I was looking at this and wondering, "how on earth did she manage that exposure!" Coz I'm so (in)famous for photoshoping my exposures. I always underexpose by one stop and then adjust the curves later for "effects".

BTW, love the 3 piece suit your blog is wearing now. It's a matter of personal taste but I feel that the trousers are a little too low waist. Limiting the no. of posts to 3 per page might do the trick.

If my blog is cool, ur blog is freezing! :)

Yeah, did tweak it a bit ... I don't use a DSLR, a fancy point and shoot ... :D

hahahahahaha low waist! will do what you suggested.

p.s. - i was just trying another theme, one of those super-fancy-shmancy ones and almost f**ked up this one real bad ... brrrr!

p.s.= post script or p.s.= prateek shujanya?:)

Always download the full template before tweaking anything, worst case scenario in this case is very heartbreaking, you could end up losing it all!

haha P.S. shall be your name now.

yup, learnt my lesson the hard way. by the way ... how does this work? do people start on blogspot.com and then buy that space later or do they buy a different space (domain or whatever) and then start blogging afresh?

yours is ps.com right? ;)

Webspace and domain are 2 different things. Domain is the thing that you type in the address bar of ur browser, and webspace is the place where you put your files on a webserver for others to access, by typing a domain name(determined by you) in their browsers. You don't buy webspace or domain names but you rent 'em for a specified period of time, you will have to renew your contract after the period is over.

Blogspot.com(aka Blogger) is a free webhost and gives you both, webspace and a domain name, but the domain name is a subdomain to the main domain(i.e. blogger.com). This is okay for a start but in the long run people suggest getting a domain name like shrutisharma.com :)

Buy domain names only from trusted sellers like godaddy or google.

After you have bought your domain you just point it to the google servers.(you might want to look at a tut or manual if u r new), then from your blogger dashboard go to settings -> publishing and "switch to custom domain". And done!

You don't have 2 strt blogging afresh, your old url will be automatically redirected to ur new url.

I hope you are not in a hurry coz u've just given me an idea to do a full post on this.

Email me at prateek@prateekshujanya.com if you need more and/or detailed assistance.

Yes, my web address is www.prateekshujanya.com :) (oh! how i luv to flaunt my url) :)

for geeks - explanations of TLDs and SLDs have intentionally been given a miss, so comment on the post and don't come after me.

This is so unfair. Not only are you funny, you're a techie as well. And your initials are PS. Huff!

:D Gottya. Thunks for explaining. I was curious. Not doing it right away. But will pester you more as soon as I decide :)

and i totally don't get the 'for geeks' aside ... !!

Prateek said...

Honey, you don't get it 'cause its meant for the geeks! Not for human beings :)

Most of them are fine and don't like to create problems for Homo sapiens, but some of 'em have super inflated virtual egos(and they couldn't fight mouse in the real world). They have an opinionated on anything and everything. Every explaination, other than those given by them, is very unintellgent and "commoners" like you and me can make nothing out of their jargon filled "perfect" definitions.

sacredeastwind said...

Oh my god, PS. Its totally uncanny but I wrote to my cousin yesterday too saying can you explain this (some tech related thing) in human language? So weird dude!

Hilarious commentry. Like rolling on the floor hilarious :D!
