On one extreme we have Maoists fighting for basics, and on the other hand we have the elite swindling money through IPL and other means. And in this quagmire, the daily plights of the aam aadmi are completely ignored. And this government came to power saying aam aadmi, much like Indira Gandhi came to power saying Gairbi Hatao!
Here is hoping the water in mars news is true and we can make our small island of happiness there :)
Cheers!
VasuVasuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01739008549941972585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33970457.post-3554054554246741672010-04-23T16:11:40.005+05:302010-04-23T16:11:40.005+05:30True Vasu, I agree. Don't really trust Sheila Dixit either.

This report was last year by the way. This year the power cuts are just building up.

Recently, Sheila Dixit was quoted (I think) in a crime report saying delhi crime rate, rape rate has gone down - find that so hard to believe.

Plus, with the game approaching, so much of land was allotted for hotels etc. to be built - no clarity on whether or not construction was ever started.

And, the construction that has been done for quarters for sportsmen has been done in areas wherein the building authorities had got NO clearances whatsoever - saw a film about this.sacredeastwindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07157247602493252129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33970457.post-38927593902803575392010-04-23T14:07:41.939+05:302010-04-23T14:07:41.939+05:30Hey,

Politicians across parties have abused power, and none more so than the Congress, but I have always felt Sheila was one of the handful of people we can have faith in.
But if it is true though, then gods save Delhi & the country!

Cheers!
VasuVasuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01739008549941972585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33970457.post-22398723156009657232010-04-22T20:54:29.201+05:302010-04-22T20:54:29.201+05:30I am the eye witness of fraud done by Chif Ministe...I am the eye witness of fraud done by Chif Minister along with BSES ( Ambani’s company ), we were working with DESU ( now its BSES ) and in 2002-2003 delhi Govt. sold the entire DESU in very very low rates after that the both Delhi Govt and the BSES offer VRS scheme to their employee and offer many mouth watering offers, nearly 6500 DESU employee take VRS but they were not aware that the BSES are not going to pay them their provident fund and the other funds as per mentioned in their agreement even the medical facility was also withdrawn. The employee then launch the court case against them and after a long trail the employee win but without any pension, money and even the medical facility we face very hard problems, but thanks to Consumer Welfare Society, they helped us a lot to get justiceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
